There’s only one way of life, and that’s your own’ moet zowat het meest gescandeerde refrein zijn van de 90’s. The Levellers drukten hun dikke folkrock stempel op dat tijdperk. Hun sociaal en politiek activisme weten ze licht verteerbaar te maken met hun energieke live shows, waarbij alles mag behalve stilstaan. Dat is sowieso moeilijk met festival anthems als ‘Liberty song’, ‘Fifteen Years’ en ‘Beautiful day’. Die laatste kreeg in Vlaanderen trouwens een stevige revival door de tv-serie ‘Dertigers’.
